NASAD
Attend a four-year program at an art and design that is approved by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). In Texas, these programs can be found on several of the more prominent universities with an active art school. As of 2010, there are 10 such schools in Texas, including Austin, Arlington, San Antonio and the Permian Basin branches of the University of Texas … The other schools are the University of North Texas, Southern Methodist University, Texas Christian University, Texas Tech University and Stephen F. Other Four-Year Colleges
Lone Star State there are many other colleges that offer at least a four-year degree in photography. The main difference between this list and the previous one under the heading of NASAD is that this group of colleges and universities do not have accreditation from the NASAD.

Associate Degrees

Technical Schools
The last option involves participating in one of the many technical schools are found across the State. Texas has three very large urban areas-Dallas, Houston and San Antonio and one of these cities gives more opportunities to learn a photographic trade, which can provide regular employment.
