Jefferson National Expansion Memorial

In addition to the Gateway Arch, the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial also includes the Old Courthouse and the Museum of Westward Expansion.

Old Courthouse

The old courthouse houses various exhibitions that tell more about the creation of St. Louis. In addition, there is a permanent exhibition about the most controversial processes that were conducted here. Opening hours are daily from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Entrance is free.

Museum of Westward Expansion

In the Visitors Center at the bottom of the Gateway Arch, various exhibitions have been set up that relate to the voyage of discovery to the western United States. Including all kinds of historical utensils around Lewis & Clark, Indians and other pioneers.

Gateway Arch

You climb the Gateway Arch by means of a strange little tram that goes up and down from the north to the south side from 8:30 am to 9:15 pm and vice versa. A visit to the platform costs USD 10 for adults and USD 3 for children. With a National Park Passport you get a $3 discount. The complete experience takes approximately 45 minutes, during which you will enjoy stunning views of the St. Louis area and learn about the history of St. Louis and the construction of the steel arch along the way. Missouri Botanic Gardens

St. Louis is proud of its highly successful sports teams. The fans of the St. Louis Cardinals (baseball), Rams (American football) and Blues (ice hockey) can therefore be spotted throughout the city. A visit to a match should therefore not be missed during your trip.
