The Salle Garnier and the Espace Fontvieille host numerous events and performances throughout the year.

The casino is one of the biggest attractions. The casino cabaret and the Salle Garnier, the beautiful opera, are housed in the same building. There are other casinos at the Sporting Club Monte Carlo, the Café de Paris and the Grand Hotel. There are two cinemas and countless nightclubs and discos. In the summer, international films (in the original) are shown in an open-air cinema every evening.



Excellent restaurants await the guest. The cuisine is predominantly French, but there are also some Monegasque specialties. Many of the bars and restaurants stay open until the early hours.

Dress: Smarter attire is expected in exclusive restaurants and hotels, casinos and nightclubs. Appropriate manners: You shake hands to greet each other; Friends and acquaintances are kissed on both cheeks, as in France. You should not smoke while eating. Tipping: The tip is already included in the bills of almost all hotels and restaurants, otherwise 15% is usual (also for taxi drivers).
