Slovakia is a relatively young and smaller state in Eastern Europe that emerged from the peaceful partition of Czechoslovakia in 1992/1993. The country, which was under Hungarian, Russian, Austrian and German repression for a long time, has been a member of the European Union since May 1, 2004. Slovakia lies between the Danube and the Carpathian Mountains and has a very beautiful nature, with numerous animals - including wolves and brown bears.
