The Touching Story of an Autistic Child without Friends… and How Facebook Got to Fulfill His Dream of Having Them

Christopher Cornelius history begins in a sad way. So sad. Start with the visit of his father to his school, where he found a school tab of your child, which spoke of some of their favorite things. He took a quick picture of the tab and did not realize the drama that locked up until a few hours later. Some of my friends are: no one. Some of my friends are: none. Bob realized, in that moment, that her son, 11 years and autistic, had no friend.

Bob shared his story on Facebook, recalling other cases where children with similar problems to yours had gotten to college classmates to stop considering them invisible. But He also showed their desperation by not knowing what to do, how to improve the life of his son. He told stories like the fact that Christopher brothers tend to sleep in the homes of friends and Christopher wants to do it… but it has not ever had with who. It explains the best way to treat the special characteristics of his son, and especially, calls for compassion, empathy and understanding. It is disheartening to.

That, sure, I didn’t expect Bob is that your post to become viral. Has it been shared already more than 50,000 times and has been around the world. First came the media, echoing its request to the world so that parents talk with their children about how they could improve the lives of children with autism. And then… then came Christopher friends. The new friends of Christopher. As these children in Virginia who want to be him:

Yes, Virginia, there is a boy named Christopher, and I ‘ d love to be your friend!

And, finally, came the rest of the world, sending hundreds of letters to Christopher. For know that you are not alone. You won’t have to go back to say that he has no friends. And so that all know that, sometimes, the stories have a happy ending:

First wave of the card shower… please share!
