Last was the classical businesstil in the form of Cesare Attolini and today we look at another of the famous Neapolitan skrädderierna. Today’s operator, however, has a rather different approach to men’s fashion with a large helping of playfulness in terms of color, cuts and designs. We are talking of course about Isaia Napoli as of autumn inspired by the Italian cuisine.
Isaia is a big favourite with us at Manolo and this season’s collection was certainly one of the Favorites from last winter’s Pitti Uomo fair. To talk about trends with big boxes will be closest to the uninteresting when the company made it his dna and get to continue with this for many years whether we see a change in the other.
The fall is inspired by the Italian cuisine and colors mainly in three themes. These are dark blue, Burgundy and dark green. Consistently we see strong designs with a focus on boxes such as guncheck windowpane check, and glen but even Pinstripe and striped shirts.
Isaia is obviously not for everyone, but what we can say is that their autumn collections often suits us Scandinavians something better then the color palette is slightly more saturated and drab. Then, of course, depends a lot on how you choose to combine products and several of the company’s jackets and suits are clearly more subtle with a solid color shirt and tie.
Much of this fall’s campaign are plates in a Neapolitan kitchen.
A relatively easy cage interpretation from the company.
Tones of Burgundy is seen frequently as both base and accent color. Double-breasted is a frequent element in the collection and any Isaia mastered with bravura.
