While the clothes and linens are cleaned at least once a week, often not spends the same treatment to other leaders as pillows and comforters. Just remember that every day our body excretes millions of cells through the skin, many of them at night, when we can lose up to a litre of sweat. Because of the mixture of leather and sweat, the bedding is often overrun with dust mites which can produce droppings that trigger itchy eyes and asthma, apart from being a breeding ground for numerous forms of bacteria. We see then how to wash pillows and comforters.

You need

Be sure to have on hand:

  • Liquid detergent
  • Washing machine
  • Outdoor space where you can roll out

The best method is the washing with SOAP and water. If you have a large washing machine can do this type of laundry alone, without hiring a laundry and then saving. First of all try to split synthetic pads from natural ones, because as you know they need a different detergent. Make sure that there are not any unstitching or holes in what you have to wash the padding will escape or otherwise be damaged more.

Keep in mind that especially the pillows they absorb a lot of water and swell, then make sure that the heads can move into the washing machine to wash and especially you sciacquino
well. Avoid so to withdraw from the basket of the leaders with halos and detergent residues have to wash again. After filling the basket then goes on to choose the detergent and the washing programme.

Washing liquids are more appropriate because they are mostly absorbed by tissues and guarantee an effective washing and impeccable liner too. As a program we will choose a normal cycle for clothes made of cotton, with no less than 800/900 RPM centrifuge. Just the right temperature for washing pillows and comforters is between 30° C and 40° c.

As for the drying of your duvet or pillow, the ideal solution from EPILLOWCASES is to wash them in a hot day and lay outdoors, for example on a balcony, possibly protected from direct sunlight. That way your clothes will dry faster, evenly and will not have that nasty smell of damp. Before you lay them and even while they are already laid down from time to time, shake hand and whisk well pillows and comforters, to restore its original shape.
